Affected
products
This recall
involves ToyTexx Portable Magnetic Strategy 20 Magnet Kit with Rope &
Storage Bag with magnetic pieces that
are small, spherical, loose and separable with a strong magnetic flux. The
games are sold in a blue box with the word “Magnetism” on the box. The game includes about 20 loose magnets, a
string, a small drawstring bag and instructions for play. The product was sold directly to consumers
online exclusively through Walmart.ca.
Issue
Health Canada's sampling and
evaluation program has determined that the magnets do not meet the magnetic
force requirements of the Toys Regulations and pose an ingestion hazard.
Small, powerful magnets can
be easily swallowed by children of all ages, posing serious and potentially
life-threatening risks.
When more than one powerful
magnet is swallowed in a short period of time, the magnets can attract one
another while moving through the intestines. This can cause the intestines to
twist, creating blockages or tearing of the intestinal walls.
As of March 19, 2026, the
company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
What

Consumers should
immediately stop using the recalled [product, keep it out of reach of children and return it to
the place of purchase for a full refund.
